Job Summary:
As the Operating Room (OR) Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care in the operating theatre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a skilled team of professionals, guiding and supporting them through the perioperative process from assessment to discharge.
In a supportive role to the Director of Nursing (DON), you will assist with leadership duties to ensure the smooth operation of the surgical services department. From managing resources and staff to evaluating patient care, your role is pivotal in achieving optimal surgical outcomes and maintaining patient safety.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Inspire: Provide clear, concise direction to a talented surgical team, promoting efficiency and teamwork across all clinical areas.
- Patient-Centered Care: Oversee and manage the assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of patient care, ensuring every patient receives exceptional care from pre-op through recovery.
- Quality Control: Ensure all procedures are followed, equipment is used safely, and safety protocols are consistently maintained to avoid any unsafe situations.
- Operational Excellence: Take part in continuous improvements, using your expertise to monitor and enhance the department’s processes, policies, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Active RN License in the State of Texas
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting
- 2-5 years of nursing management experience, particularly in perioperative care
- Current BLS/ACLS Certification
- A strong commitment to patient care, leadership, and team collaboration
