JOB SUMMARY
The Clinic Leader provides direct hands-on leadership to front and back office staff and coordinates and plans for efficient operational processes and quality patient healthcare services at Urology San Antonio. Oversees all clinic operations aspects and maintains standardized processes and procedures. Responsible for communicating effectively with the providers and staff and building a positive and productive work environment. Including staff scheduling, monitoring overtime, disciplinary action, and performance appraisals by performing. This position directly communicates with patients and families regarding complex customer service issues, questions, and inquiries about practice procedures.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Carries out and maintains a positive culture and incorporates the code of conduct, USA's strategic initiatives, and the organization's policies.
- Effectively communicates with the staff and physicians regarding all practice business.
- Guides leads, supports, and supervises clinic staff.
- Coaches, mentors, and develops staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing continuous ongoing training and development throughout employment.
- Hosts staff huddles as needed and no less than monthly
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
- Delegates responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
- Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for differences of ideas, open and honest feedback, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.
- Initiates action to manage staff conflicts.
- Assesses the staffing needs daily and ensures adequate staff to provide quality patient care and meet the practice's needs.
- Schedule daily staff assignments and duties and monitor all incoming and outgoing work queues to ensure daily work is completed (fax queues, return phone calls, etc.)
- Oversees daily activities at the practice by providing oversite and direction.
- Shows a working knowledge of computer systems (Practice Management software and Electronic Medical Records software - iSalus).
- Assists clinic staff in defining appropriate workflows, including all policies, procedures, and processes.
- Is attentive to detail and recordkeeping on required paperwork.
- Strives to improve the working environment by recommending improving workflow and efficiency.
- Inspires trust and confidence from patients, callers, visitors, and employees by always remaining well-informed and prepared.
- Provides oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Reports employee relations issues or allegations immediately to Human Resources and appropriately documents employee matters.
- Works with the Human Resources department to recruit and hire candidates, and the corrective actions process to terminations, and FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Comp reporting.
- Willingness to accept special project assignments.
- Demonstrates an ability to identify and resolve problems and uses initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions.

- Establishes priorities, organizes actions, and communicates clinic needs to staff.
- Provides equipment and supplies based on practice needs.
- Competent in anticipating problems and emergencies and taking appropriate action.
- Competent in delegating specific duties to other team members based on practice needs and staff qualifications.
- Makes sure that all employees follow the HIPAA compliance policy

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- CMA or LVN license
- Three years of experience supervising a medical clinic
- Must have 3-5 years of work experience in healthcare or clinic operations and be familiar with medical terminology.
- Must have a solid work history.

- College Degree in the field of Science
