Job Summary

The OR Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the operating theatre. Assumes some responsibility of the DON in his/her absence. As a Registered Nurse, the OR supervisor is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from perioperative assessment to discharge to PACU.

• Ability to provide direction of others that is clear, concise, and promoted efficiency through the clinical areas of the facility.
• Assess, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to the facility policy and procedures.
• Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.

Qualifications:

• Licensed RN in the State of Texas
• Graduate form an accredited Nursing School
• Experience in ambulatory surgery center
• 2-5 years of nursing management
• BLS/ACLS Certification
