About San Antonio Cancer Center

Founded in 2005, San Antonio Cancer Center has proudly delivered high-quality radiation therapy to the South Texas community. We are a radiation-therapy practice treating all adult malignancies—not a prostate-only center—with a diverse and engaging case mix.

We operate as an independent outpatient center, owned by Urology San Antonio, one of the region’s most established multi-physician specialty groups. While physician-owned, the Cancer Center maintains full clinical autonomy and a singular focus on radiation oncology excellence.

What this means for you:

  • Freedom from hospital system constraints
  • Long-term operational and financial stability
  • A truly collaborative, physician-supported workplace

Clinical Scope & Technology

  • Varian TrueBeam® and VitalBeam® linear accelerators
  • IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, IGRT
  • ARIA EMR (or similar experience)
  • On-site PET/CT
  • Barrigel®, Pluvicto®, Xofigo®
  • Experienced physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and support staff

The Role

As a Radiation Oncologist at San Antonio Cancer Center, you will:

  • Evaluate and manage patients requiring radiation therapy
  • Design and oversee individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and referring providers
  • Participate in service-line growth and strategic program development
  • Practice in a team-oriented culture where physician input truly matters

This role is perfect for someone seeking stability, autonomy, and long-term career growth.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation package built for both immediate success and long-term financial growth:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Productivity-based compensation
  • CME and professional development support
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • PTO and holidays
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Profit-sharing opportunities

This is more than a job—it’s a true long-term wealth-building opportunity.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Experience treating a broad range of adult malignancies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care
